The NYVIP Test

The NYVIP vehicle inspection is a simple process. Basically, it includes:

• Visual confirmation of MIL operation, also referred to as a bulb check.

• A scan tool test for DTCs, the MIL commanded state, and the completion status of the OBD II non-continuous monitors. Don’t worry, once the scan tool is connected, the program software performs these three tests automatically.

• All you need to do when the test starts is follow the screen prompts and respond with the keyboard or mouse as necessary. The program software does the rest.
