Turn On the PC

Caution: Before turning the PC (Personal Computer) on, make sure that it is plugged into a grounded power receptacle and that the PC modem is connected to a dedicated phone line. It is recommended that a surge protector be used for added safety.

Turn on the PC by pressing the power ON/OFF button located on the front upper left corner of the PC.

If the Green power-ON light does not come on, check the PC connection to the power supply.

The system should self-test each time it powers up and display the hardware check list shown on the next slide.
