Safety Warnings

• Keep all liquids away from the NYVIP Inspection Unit. Liquids spilled onto the central processor, monitor, keyboard, or barcode scanner can damage components. Spilled liquids around the electrical components can also result in serious electrical shock and operator injury.

• At a minimum, make sure that all test unit components are connected to a properly grounded wall outlet at all times. Use of a surge protector provides added safety, and is highly recommended.

• Do not operate the NYVIP equipment during an electrical storm.

• Do not connect NYVIP equipment to any vehicle when work is being performed on the vehicle such as welding or battery charging.
