NYVIP
 NYVIP
is New York State's vehicle inspection program combining traditional
safety inspections with the latest emissions testing using the on
board diagnostic (OBD) computers included in all recent vehicle
models.
The Department of Motor Vehicles operates the
program on behalf of New York State. It has contracted SGS
Testcom to design and manage the program operation.
