SUBJECT:
NYVIP Software Installation (Version 0407)
This
message is being sent to all New York State inspection stations that
have not installed the NYVIP software update. A new NYVIP software
version (version 0407) contained on a CD with installation
instructions was mailed to all inspection stations in December, 2006.
Notice
of this update and highlights of the changes were first sent in NYVIP
Message No. 13 (2006) dated November 20, 2006. You may
view this message on your NYVIP machine by choosing option 2, “View
State Messages”, on the Main Menu.
This
update must be installed on all NYVIP units by January 31, 2007.
You must install this version of the update in order to continue to
perform any inspections at your facility.
On
February 1, 2007, ALL inspections will be stopped at stations that
have not installed the 0407 software version.

Help Desk at 1-866-469-8477.
These are messages sent by NYS DMV to the
inspection stations via the emissions analyzer units. They frequently contain important
information, usage tips, or announcements of system changes.
