NYVIP SOFTWARE UPDATE

Testcom will be downloading a minor software update on all NYVIP
machines, beginning on 10/18/2007. This download will be distributed
over several days, and you may not get the download immediately. The
download will take place after a data refresh or at the end of an
inspection.
When
your NYVIP machine is scheduled for the download, it will display a
message “An update has been received. Application will now exit
to allow update to run. Press <Enter> to continue.” The
download will take a few minutes, depending on connection speed.
Please do not turn off the NYVIP unit or disconnect the phone
line during the download. If the
download is not successful, it will attempt to run the download each
time the machine connects to Testcom. After a successful download,
the NYVIP unit will automatically reboot.
We
do not expect the update to cause any disruption of service as it
should only take a few minutes. We apologize for any inconvenience
this may cause you.
