Inspection Sticker Ordering
NYVIP MESSAGE No. 46
DATE: 02/18/2010
TO: ALL INSPECTION
STATIONS
FROM: NYS DEPT. OF
MOTOR VEHICLES
SUBJECT: DMV SYSTEM
UPGRADES AND AVAILABILITY ON FEBRUARY 21, 2010
All electronic sticker
ordering and some inspection functions will be affected by a DMV
hardware upgrade on Sunday, February 21, 2010 between 7 AM and 2 PM.
STICKER ORDERING
Sticker ordering will not
be available via the NYVIP analyzer or the DMV website during this
upgrade. If a station should try to order stickers through the NYVIP
analyzer during this time, they will incur a charge from Testcom but
they will not be able to order stickers successfully. Please do not
try to order stickers during this time.
INSPECTIONS
These upgrades will
not affect the emissions software function of
the analyzer and you may use the analyzer for inspection purposes.
However, re-inspection
information will not be available during this period. If you are
performing a re-inspection, you must scan the barcode at the bottom
of the latest
rejection receipt in order to avoid being required to perform a
complete inspection.
We apologize for any
inconvenience this may cause.
If you have any questions,
please contact Clean Air at (518) 473-0597.
These are messages sent by NYS DMV to the
