NYVIP SOFTWARE UPDATE
Recently, SGS
Testcom mailed the Software update CD, with installation
instructions to all NYVIP inspection stations. The software update CD
is easy to load by following the instructions that were provided and
takes less than five minutes. If you have not received the
update CD or require assistance, please contact the Help Desk
at 1-866-469-8477.
If you received the
update and have not loaded it into your NYVIP analyzer, please do
so right away. You must install the update by 4/30/2010.
We will begin the process of locking out NYVIP analyzers for
stations without the new update on this date. A lockout will
interrupt your ability to inspect vehicles until you perform the
update.

These are messages sent by NYS DMV to the
inspection stations via the emissions analyzer units. They frequently contain important
information, usage tips, or announcements of system changes.
