NYVIP MESSAGE No. 52 DATE: 06/03/2010 TO: ALL INSPECTION STATIONS FROM: NYS DEPT. OF MOTOR VEHICLES SUBJECT: SYSTEM UPGRADES AND AVAILABILITY ON May 23, 2010 CHANGED TO JUNE 6, 2010 This planned system upgrade has been re-scheduled to June 6, 2010. Some limited inspection functions will be affected by a DMV system software upgrade on Sunday, June 6, 2010 between 10 AM and 1 PM. INSPECTIONS These upgrades will not affect most inspections. However, re-inspections will temporarily be affected during the upgrade. During the upgrade timeframe, if you are performing a re-inspection, you must scan the barcode at the bottom of the latest rejection receipt in order to avoid being required to perform a complete inspection. STICKER ORDERING AND FACILITY LICENSE RENEWALS Sticker ordering and Facility License Renewals will be available via the NYVIP analyzer or the DMV website during this upgrade.
