NYVIP MESSAGE No. 55 DATE: 07/29/2010 TO: ALL INSPECTION STATIONS FROM: NYS DEPT. OF MOTOR VEHICLES SUBJECT: SYSTEM UPGRADES AND AVAILABILITY ON August 1, 2010 Some limited inspection functions will be affected by a DMV system software upgrade on Sunday, August 1, 2010 between 7 AM and 1 PM. INSPECTIONS These upgrades will not affect most inspections. However, re-inspections will temporarily be affected during the upgrade. During the upgrade timeframe, if you are performing a re-inspection, you must scan the barcode at the bottom of the latest rejection receipt in order to avoid being required to perform a complete inspection. STICKER ORDERING AND FACILITY LICENSE RENEWALS Sticker ordering and Facility License Renewals will NOT be available via the NYVIP analyzer or the DMV website during this upgrade.
