TO: All INSPECTION STATIONS

FROM: SGS TESTCOM

SUBJECT: Important information from Testcom regarding replaced warranty equipment

The NYVIP unit is covered by a warranty for the life of the program.  Defective items are replaced at no charge to the customer. If you have received a replacement piece of equipment under the warranty, you are required to return the defective item to  SGS Testcom, or you will be charged for the replacement.

If you have not returned an OBDII tool when replaced under warranty by a new tool, this message is especially important!  You are required to return the replaced defective OBDII tool by January  31 , 2006 or you will be in violation of the Station Participation Agreement and will be charged a $75.00 fee in addition to the cost of replacing that tool.

Shipping to return defective parts is included in the warranty, there is no charge to return the old part. The  SGS Testcom Help Desk can arrange for the part to be picked up from your facility.
