Upgrades and Spare Equipment
The following prices are for stations that have already purchased an inspection unit but now wish to purchase upgraded optional equipment for that unit, or purchase additional equipment to use as spares or replacements for damaged or non-warranty covered components. Please contact the NYVIP Help Desk (866-469-8477) if you have any questions about the pricing below.
The prices include full warranty for the upgraded components through November 2013.

**All pricing includes standard ground shipping and handling except for the cart. Due to its size and weight, cart shipping charges vary depending on location. Please contact the NYVIP Help Desk (866-469-8477) for more information. Expedited component shipping, including Saturday delivery (some restrictions may apply) is available at an additional cost.
NOTE: When purchasing an upgrade, you do not need to return the original component. If you continue to use the original component, it remains under full warranty through November 2013.
Example Upgrade:
You purchased the base NYVIP unit with an inkjet printer and have now decided that you would rather have a laser printer, so you contact the NYVIP Help Desk and purchase the laser printer for $370.59, which includes standard ground shipment that will usually arrive at your station within 1-4 days.
Example Spares 1:
You wish to purchase an extra KM9020 OBDII Kit to keep on hand in case your unit has any problems. You contact the NYVIP Help Desk and purchase a spare for $347.50
Example Spares 2 (Spare versus Break-Fix):
You have a NYVIP inkjet printer that got knocked off your cabinet and is broken, you contact the NYVIP Help Desk and advise that you have damaged the inkjet printer and would like to purchase a replacement. The Help Desk sells you the replacement at $130.58. You request expedited shipping to get the printer as early as possible the next morning, and pay an expedite fee quoted by the Help Desk. In comparison, had you tried to use the Break-Fix service to get your replacement inkjet printer, you would have typically received the printer in 1-3 days and would have eventually received a damage invoice for your printer in the amount of $183.58 (an additional $53.00 over the spare purchase price).
